It is likely that the appeal of a woman dressed as
a schoolgirl is that she is imagined to be younger

stocking tops are visible, and maybe high-heeled shoes,
thus combining an innocent look with a very sexy one.
When seeking an authentic schoolgirl look, the underwear
is often similar to that of a real schoolgirl. In particular,
the knickers may be voluminous cotton ones, sometimes
dark blue or dark green.
