Christmas ball ornaments on a balloon

Decoration idea for Christmas ball ornaments made from recycled materials.

Craft materials

•  A balloon
• Strings in many colors
• Paint 
• Glue
• Paintbrush

Instructions -  Making the balloon ornament

• Blow up the balloon to the size that you want (don’t blow it up too much!)
• Tie a long piece of string to the balloon’s knot. Apply glue to the string and wrap it around and around the balloon. 
• Repeat with another long piece of string (you may want to change the color) but wrap it in a different way.
• Hang the balloon and let it dry until the string is hard.
• Apply paint if desired.

Variation of the Balloon ornament

• For a more spectacular effect, place a surprise inside the balloon that will be found when you pop it. In this version, you should make sure that the strings touch each other so as to have a more solid ornament.
