Maintenance of the Natural Christmas tree |

If you chose a cut tree, make sure that it’s fresh; a tree that has been cut for too long will tarnish and will have lost many needles along its trunk. There’s a good chance that it will lose the remainder of its foliage upon its arrival to your living room. It’s better to bring along a big bag or a tarpaulin to cover the tree during transport in order to avoid finding fir needles everywhere! Before entering the house with your fir, cut off six inches from the base of the trunk with the help of a saw. This will help the tree drink water. For the duration of its stay in your house, it’s important to submerge the base of the tree. You can choose a commercial tree stand that has a water reservoir or you can use a bucket filled with rocks. Never place the tree near a source of heat; it will dry the tree and make it a fire hazard. Comments (0)
