Individual casseroles or soup bowls with lids take on the deep green hues of the Andaman Sea. Each bowl features twin handles; the lid takes the shape of a lotus bud or temple spire. Thatsanee and Ramphan create the set of four in celadon ceramic. Made of ko or rokfa wood ashes enriched with oxides, the glazes distinguish these traditional Thai ceramics. When the kiln is opened, the change of temperature causes the piece to contract, giving it the distinctive crackled appearance of true celadon. Safe for dishwasher, microwave and oven up to 480?F. |
