Bath Salts made with Essential OilsA wonderful handmade present for Mother’s Day!

  
  
  
  
  
Craft material
  • Large bowl
  • Mixing spoon
  • Pretty plastic bag
  • Ribbon
  • 1 kilo of large crystal sea salt
  • Food colorant
  • 10 drops of essential oils: thyme (tonic), rosemary (expectorant), lemon (tonic), lavender (calming), rose (tonic), mandarin (cures insomnia), or other. Mix several essential oils to make your own personal fragrance!

This activity allows children to:
  • understand measures

  • develop their sense of smell

Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, mix the salt with 10 drops of the essential oils of your choice.
  • Add the food colorant one drop at a time and stir vigorously between each drop until you obtain the perfect color.
  • Pour the desired quantity in a pretty, airtight bag. 

Note: The effects and the smell of the essential oils last for about 2 months.
This is a perfect gift for mom to relax and enjoy a few stolen moments!
