Craft ideas for Valentine’s Day: Heart on your HandHeart on your Hand :

Modelling activity for the kids for the day of love






This activity allows children to:
  • Develop their fine motor skills and creativity.
  • Understand the importance of sharing.
  • Learn spatial awareness.

  • Acrylic paint
  • Tissue paper in different colors
  • Paint brushes

Instructions
  • Spread the dough on your work space.
  • With a knife, trace and cut a heart shape that is bigger than the hand of the child.
  • With your fingers form the shape and round the edges.
  • Place the hand onto the shape and press hard enough to make a clear imprint. You can even imprint a foot, a mouth or an ear if you please!  
  • Make a small hole at the top of the heart so that you can later thread a string through it.
  • Bake in the oven at 200°C for 1 to 2 hours. 
  • Paint the heart white. Let it dry. 
  • Paint the heart in the desired color and decorate. 
  • Thread the string through the small hole.

You now have a wonderful souvenir to give to a loved one!
